Newhall County Water District and Castaic Lake Water Agency have spent the past year studying the potential of a new water district. Leaders knew that there was potential, but a comprehensive study was needed to determine the opportunity for water customers.
The Economics, Efficiencies and Enhanced Water Management Study took an exhaustive look at this potential and uncovered significant benefits for our region. It examines in great detail several core functions, including: finances, governance, operational and infrastructure assessment, organizational analysis and regional water management. It addresses challenges and opportunities and includes recommendations on moving forward from staff and experts.
