WHO IS MY WATER AGENCY?

If you aren’t sure who supplies water to your property, please click on the scv street listing and find your street. Your water agency will be listed next to the street name. If your street is serviced by multiple agencies call us and we can look it up for you. If your street name is not listed you may not have an individual meter for water service. If you live in the Val Verde area you need to contact LA County Waterworks at www.lacwaterworks.org or call (877) 637-3661.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL APPLICANTS FOR WATER SERVICE

All service requests will be reviewed by a NCWD Customer Service Representative, and if necessary you will be contacted regarding your service request. Additional information or paperwork may be required to complete the application process.

A valid Social Security number is required to complete the application process, Your social security number will be verified through Experian. Based on information received from Experian, a deposit may be assessed. If you do not have a valid social security number or decline to provide your social security number for verification purposes, then a deposit will be automatically assessed to your account.

An application fee of $20.00 will be assessed to your account every time an account is started in your name.

DEPOSITS

A deposit is calculated and based on three (3) months worth of bills at the property within the last twelve (12) months. If there is no history available, we will calculate the deposit based on similar properties.

REFUNDS

Deposits are refunded to the customer’s account after one (1) year of service with no late fees or penalties. If the account  is closed , all previous charges will be deducted from the deposit, and the remaining balance will be mailed in the form of a check to the customer’s last known address approximately forty five (45) days after the account is closed.

NOTE

We require the requested service date to be a minimum of 24 hours from today (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays excluded) to start water service. All new water services will be connected during regular business hours Monday – Thursday between 8AM and 5PM and Friday between 8AM and 4PM. If you need expedited service please call  the NCWD Customer Service Department at (661) 259-361 x 0 during regular business hours.                           

All completed paperwork must be received in our office completed prior to the connection of any water service.

Customers requiring a temporary water meter are required to open an account with Newhall County Water District, more info.

If you are requesting new water service after hours; please call our main number at 661-259-2737 to reach our answering service.

You can request new service by phone or in person and we request 24 Hr advance notice for either request. Keep in mind we are closed every other Friday, weekends, and holidays.

You can apply for service by phone or in person. Call (661) 294-0828 or stop by our office at 24631 Avenue Rockefeller, in the Valencia Industrial Center. See office hours and calendar.

A deposit is not required to open most accounts. However, all delinquent accounts must be brought up-to-date prior to re-establishing service.

Although you don’t have to be present when we establish service, we do ask that no water faucets or valves be left open the day we are scheduled to turn on your meter. The meter will not be left on if our Field Representative sees the meter spinning, indicating something is on, or is leaking when you are not home.

We need two business days to establish service in your name. Please have the following information handy to give to a Customer Service Representative.

  • Location Address of Service
  • Location Phone Number
  • Date to be Turned On (allow two business days)
  • Billing Name
  • Social Security Number for Billing Name (for residential service)
  • Employer Information (for residential service)
  • Work Phone Number (for residential service)
  • Driver’s License or ID Number (for residential service)
  • Federal Taxpayer ID Number (for a business)

STOP SERVICE BY DIVISION

CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT:

Newhall County Water District makes it easy for you to close your account. Just call (661) 259-3610 or come into our office 8AM to 5PM Monday thru Thursday or 8AM to 4PM Friday and supply the following information. You can also email your request to customerservice@ncwd.org. NCWD will supply a confirmation number for all requests.

  • Account Number to be closed.
  • Date to close account (excluding weekends and holidays).
  • Forwarding address and phone number.

Please allow at least one (1) business day prior to the date you wish your account to be closed. All charges applied to the account are the responsibility of the current account holder until the District is notified and the account is closed.

You can discontinue existing service by phone or in person and we request 24 Hr advance notice for either request. Keep in mind we are closed every other Friday, weekends, and holidays.

Call our Customer Service Department at 661-294-0828, see office hours and calendar, to request disconnection. A phone number and forwarding address other than the current service address is necessary to close your account. A minimum of two business days is required to stop service.

If you need to START service, please DO NOT email your request. You must call us directly. All START and STOP service requests need to be made a minimum of two business days in advance.
