Newhall Water Division is offering rebates for the purchase and installation of High Efficiency Sprinkler Nozzles. The new nozzles are designed to increase efficiency by decreasing runoff. There are two levels of sprinkler nozzles available for rebate. Level 1 Nozzles $250 and Level 2 Nozzles $500. Certain restrictions apply. more_info



Newhall Water Division is offering a rebate for the conversion of a standard spray sprinkler zone to a drip zone. Rebates are $0.25 per sq. ft. of converted area. Certain restrictions apply. more_info



If you can realize water savings by installing devices or technologies that are not listed here, let us know. You may be eligible for a rebate. The water savings must be quantifiable and a minimum threshold must be met. Newhall Water Division reserves the right to qualify or exclude any proposed technology. Commercial Drip Irrigation Rebate

Santa Clarita Water Division customers served by a commercial, dedicated irrigation, or multi-family water meter may receive a $0.25 per square foot rebate. This includes HOAs, industrial, institutional and commercial sites.

Water allocations were initially introduced in 2009 by Valencia Water Division under the New Water SMART Allocation and Tiered Rates program. As of January 23, 2012, Dedicated Irrigation customers can view their monthly Water SMART Allocation, water consumption, and billing statements online.

FREE Landscape Irrigation Survey

In our continuing commitment to serve our customers, Valencia Water Division offers a landscape irrigation survey at no cost to you. Our contractor, WaterWise Consulting, will visit your site and complete a comprehensive irrigation system inspection. Customers will be provided a report identifying potential water conservation measures, rebate program information and additional conservation tips and tools.


HELIUM Program

Option 1: Drip Irrigation

Valencia Water Division now offers Drip Irrigation Conversion Rebates of 50¢/sqft. Converting spray irrigation for shrubs, flowers, and other non-turf applications can achieve substantial savings.

Option 2: HE Nozzles and Pressure Regulation

Valencia Water Division now offers rebates (100% for HE Nozzles, 75% for Master Pressure Regulation, and $10.00 per Pressure Regulating Body) when you replace your old spray sprinklers with high-efficiency equipment to make your irrigation system lean, mean and green!

Now it’s even easier to save water and keep your landscapes beautiful. Customers can receive up to 25 high efficiency nozzles courtesy of Valencia Water Division’s Water Conservation Program.

Prohibited Measures

Please note that the State of California has made the following practices that waste potable water permanently prohibited:

  • Allowing water to run off your property onto sidewalks, into gutters, and streets, etc.

  • Washing driveways and/or sidewalks

  • Washing a motor vehicle using a hose without a shut-off nozzle

  • Using potable water in non-recirculating fountains and decorative features

  • The application of potable water to outdoor landscapes during and 48 hours after measurable rain

  • The irrigation with potable water of ornamental turf within public medians

  • Restaurant serving water other than upon request

  • Hotel/motel not offering to launder linens and towels other than daily

SCV Water is concerned with water waste. Please provide as much information as possible to help us identify the problem.

To promote water conservation and prevent the waste of water, each of the following actions is prohibited:

  1. The application of potable water to landscapes in a manner that causes runoff such that water flows onto adjacent property, non-irrigated areas, private and public roadways, parking lots, or structures;
  2. The use of a hose that dispenses potable water to wash a motor vehicle, except where the hose is fitted with a shut-off nozzle or device attached to it that causes it to cease dispensing water immediately when not in use;
  3. The application of potable water to driveways and sidewalks; and
  4. The use of potable water in a fountain or other decorative water feature, except where the water is part of a recirculating system.
  5. Watering during or 48 hrs following a measurable rain event.
